I love having something to satisfy my sweets craving, especially after dinner, and these little Bites are perfect…and healthy! Like these Carrot Cake Bites, they are so easy to make!

Just one or two completely hit the spot. 🙂 You could even have them as an afternoon snack with an apple or banana.

Plus they are NO BAKE too like the Homemade Lara Bars I make! Kids would love to be little helpers rolling the balls for you.

You can easily make them with all-natural peanut butter, cashew butter or sunflower butter too.

Can you put protein powder in these?

    Reply

    • Sherri

Yes absolutely! Add 1 or 2 scoops. Some protein powders absorb more water than others so if the mixture becomes dry, add a teaspoon of water at a time until you can form the balls.

These look absolutely delicious! And I have all the ingredients, so I think I will be making these tonight! I’ve been on an elimination diet, and it is such a struggle finding sweet treats that don’t have refined sugars in! I’m just going to swap the honey with some maple syrup, then I’ll be set to go! Thanks, Hannah

What are the pros and cons of almond butter? ›

The Pros: Almond is a tree nut, so people allergic to peanuts can eat it. It's higher in calcium, potassium, manganese and monounsaturated fat than peanut butter, with half the saturated fat. The Cons: Almond skin can't be removed before processing, so almond butter often has a grainy or gritty texture.

What is a healthy alternative to peanut butter? ›

Tree nut butters, such as almond, cashew, walnut, hazelnut, and pecan butters, are great substitutes for peanut butter. They all have similar nutritional profiles and provide heart-healthy fats, fiber, and antioxidants.

Does almond butter need to be refrigerated? ›

The easiest way to prevent your almond butter from going bad and extend its shelf-life—by as much as twice as long—is to pop it in the fridge. Keeping your almond butter in the fridge is especially important if you tend to purchase nut butters without preservatives or if you like to make your own nut butter.
